I love this shadowed world that Ms Frazier created where the dark heroes live. Worth a credit? Definitely and absolutely YES. but the sea has receded and the tsunami is about to hit. Well, some of the questions are answers and the soul-to-soul connection has been forged from flames. Who will be the victors - and what will the body count be?. Who are the true villains because it’s certain no-one’s a Saint?. Their attraction grew and grew until it couldn’t be contained.
It’s a well-planned story that chills with a dangerous skull-masked gang - and thrills as chemistry-fuelled feisty fiery clashes between Pike and his captive Mickey blew hot and cold. it’s book 1 of Pike and Mickey’s unpredictable enemies-to-lovers gritty love story. For me, this story was absolutely compelling. a plan that does not include a handsome sexy savior. However, Mickey has had a plan in place for years. And Mickey, with her deep secrets, equally heartbreaking backstory, photographic memory and hidden agenda, somehow gets to Pike, brings out a possessive protective side no-one else has seen and just may be the one person he will lower his walls for. but, if you look hard enough, buried deep beneath his hardened shell and don’t give a f’k attitude, lies a heart that can love. he’s a criminal with a shady life and a hardened-heart. his emotions have been in lockdown since he was abandoned by his Mom at 5 yrs old. And then there’s the unpredictable unique storylines with shocking twists, roadblocks, crashes, detours and faded white lines. and I love the way this author takes you on a multi-layered journey with colorful characters, loveable damaged moody anti-heroes who are slightly off balance and feisty strong heroines who claw and fight and save themselves. But me, well I love a well-written dark romance. they are not cookie-cutter sweet, they are not easy-going romances and they are definitely not for everyone. If you’re a virgin to TMF’s work then I want to give you fair warning. A TENSION-FILLED FRICTION-FUELLED COMBUSTIBLE 5 ⭐️
